El Dorado Irrigation District is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join its team in the scenic Sierra Nevada foothills. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead complex engineering projects that provide essential services to over 150,000 residents. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Civil Engineer will serve as a project manager for a variety of public works and capital improvement projects, including the design and construction of District facilities for water and recycled water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, water and wastewater treatment plants, hydroelectric generation systems, and recreation area improvements.

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have professional engineering experience in public infrastructure projects, coupled with proven project management abilities. Candidates will also demonstrate versatility in both collaborative and independent work environments while managing projects effectively from inception through completion in a prescribed manner.

• Experience: 5+ years in professional engineering.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Licensing: Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license in California. Candidates with out-of-state PE licenses will be considered; employment will be contingent upon obtaining a CA PE license within one year of hire.
