The Clark Regional Wastewater District is accepting applications for two full-time Maintenance Specialist positions: Maintenance Specialist-In Training (MS-IT) and Maintenance Specialist – 1 (MS-1). The Maintenance Specialists are members of a talented team of individuals who operate and maintain the wastewater collection system, providing reliable sewer service in a customer-focused and responsible manner. Primary Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair or replace pump station equipment and appurtenances, including pumps, motors, valves and piping.
- Gravity sewer line repairs, including trench digging, shoring and pipe cutting.
- Maintaining and visually inspecting gravity sewers; remove manhole covers to inspect flows, clean collection system gravity lines, and perform video inspections.
- Maintaining a variety of shop equipment, including welders, drills, grinders, and saws.
- Use computer systems to monitor system performance and to record and accurately track operations and maintenance data.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with a good driving record
- Washington Wastewater Collection, Specialist-in-Training certification, within one (1) year of date of hire
- Reside within 50-minutes of District office within one (1) year of date of hire
Additional MS-1 Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience in wastewater systems maintenance, construction or other industry related experience
- Washington Wastewater Collection Level 1 certification
- Class B CDL license preferred
Salary Range
MS-IT: $4,723 to $6,174 per month
MS-1: $5,101 to $6,668 per month
Starting Salary
MS-IT: $4,723 to $5,400 per month, DOQ
MS-1: $5,101 to $5,832 per month, DOQ
