Xylem/Evoqua’s Service Manager, Wastewater Treatment Plant will oversee wastewater treatment operations for the facility located in the Nederland, Texas, Build, Own and Operate supporting a Hydrogen project. This facility will treat up to 4500 gallons per minute of process water and similar quantities of wastewater. Manager will lead a team of shift operators, maintenance technician, and other local support to meet the 24/7 needs of the customer and expand on the current relationship with this client. Core Responsibilities:
- Analyze budgets and technical reports.
- Previous business management experience, including direct P&L responsibility
- Site performance and quality KPIs.
- Communication with the client.
- Site financial responsibilities and budgeting.
- Leading the local onsite team of operators.
- Maintaining a high level of safety and compliance for the facility.
Qualifications for this position:
Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or related fields of study is highly preferred.
- Technical degrees and appropriate experience will also be considered.
Experience:
- Water treatment experience of five years or more is highly desired.
- Wastewater treatment is preferred.
- Experience in people leading of no less than five years is highly desired.
Travel: Vehicle will be assigned Travel 20% is expected. However, post-hire, the travel for training will be closer to 50-60% for several months.
Day in the life: Normal business hours, 7AM to 4:30PM – typically (50 hrs per week), on-call and emergency response. Manage the facility operation and direct reports and ensuring all safety protocols are followed and training complete.
