El Dorado Irrigation District is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join its team in the scenic Sierra Nevada foothills. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead complex engineering projects that provide essential services to over 150,000 residents. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Civil Engineer will serve as a project manager for a variety of public works and capital improvement projects, including the design and construction of District facilities for water and recycled water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, water and wastewater treatment plants, hydroelectric generation systems, and recreation area improvements.

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will possess a broad breadth of engineering experience, enabling the Senior Engineer to adapt to the versatile projects handled by EID. Project management skills are a must in this role, with proven experience managing multiple large projects, vendors, and contracts from inception through completion. Experience in water, wastewater, and/or hydroelectric infrastructure will be an asset in this role.

• Experience: 5+ years in civil engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Licensing: Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license in California. Candidates with out-of-state PE licenses will be considered; employment will be contingent upon obtaining a CA PE license within one year of hire.
