This position requires a strong technical ability and interest in the areas of Waste Water Treatment (WWT), Boiler and Cooling Water Treatment (BWT, CWT), as well as general water treatment.

Also required are excellent written and verbal communication skills,

Significant desire for learning and teaching of technical topics,

And a fundamental drive for excellence to be achieved through diligent work toward planning and completion of specific technical project goals through the use of innovative internal and external supply chain resource management.



Work with the Technical Director to develop and administer a comprehensive training program.

Participate in advanced training (MWT) through research and delivery of technical material.

Provide onsite training to both customers as well as field representatives.

Document Management

Assist in the creation and management of material safety data sheets (MSDS)

Assist in the creation and management of technical data sheets (TDS)

Assist in the creation and management of technical bulletins

Contribute to Plymouth Technology technical library

Technical Sales Support

Corporate & Strategic Account Technical Support (Written, Telephone, On Site)

Participate and manage onsite visits with existing Plymouth customers for trouble shooting and regular Essence of Value (EOV) audits.

Participate in survey for new Plymouth customers or new customer applications

Analytical Support

Complete treatability studies in the PTI internal lab or at a local laboratory

Work with third party analytical labs to review customer data and questions.

Provide assistance in field and laboratory research and development projects.

External Supply Chain Management

Utilize industry networks to identify and develop new products and services

Work with existing and potential PTI vendors to ensure quality products are maintained and used appropriately.

Work experience requirements:

·         Ten or more years experience in water treatment sales or technical support.

·         Experience supporting on site WWT, BWT & CWT startups and troubleshooting.


Education Requirements

·            BS (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or related)

·            Water Treatment Technical Training
